Michigan Wetland and Stream Stewards

Michigan Wetland and Stream Stewards (MWSS) was established in 2025 to provide long-term management and stewardship of wetland and stream mitigation projects across Michigan. MWSS is the only statewide organization dedicated to performing long-term management and stewardship of mitigation projects required by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE). MWSS can assist permit applicants and mitigation providers with all aspects of wetland and stream long-management and stewardship.
